RUBICON GARAGE Since 2020

Rubicon Garage is owned by Aaron and Melissa Nunley. 

Aaron Is an ASE Certified Master Automotive Technician with over 30 years of professional experience. Melissa's love is singing! She is an amazing vocalist and performer and has played in multiple local bands in Northern California for the past 20 years.

For Aaron, It all started in a gravel driveway in Applegate, California. Working on the family vehicles with his dad was the start of a lifelong passion for automobiles. Building models of his dream cars and reading everything automotive related he could get his hands on! 

High School auto shop brought Aaron the opportunity to win multiple awards and work as an automotive machinist in the school‘s ROP program. After high school, Aaron went on to graduate from Universal Technical Institute in Phoenix, Arizona in 1987.

 In 2003, Aaron and Melissa met and a little over a year later they were married.

August of 2003 brought a change of venue for Aaron's career. 

Shortly after, they were invited on a camping trip that would alter the course of Aaron's career path. That trip was a Jeep trip with new friends to the Fordyce Trail in Northern California. From that point on, Aaron and Melissa's lives were changed forever.

 And the rest, as they say, is history! 

Aaron spent many weekends in the shop and others on the trail honing the skills required to drive and  build a rig that could conquer some of the toughest trails out there.

 Aaron also continued training in the diagnosis and repair of the latest automotive electronic and mechanical systems.

Aaron has volunteered as a director on the Board of the Rubicon Trail Foundation and is President of the Rough and Ready Jeep Club.

 Melissa and her bands have played multiple Rubicon Trail Foundation Fundraisers, Jeepers/Jeep Jamboree and Sierra Trek events.

 Aaron and Melissa both completed Volunteer leadership training through Del Albright's VLLS program in 2015.
